Wagon at the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, Baker City, Oregon

In the early 1800s, about 400,000 settlers, farmers, miners, ranchers, and business owners and their families moved west on the famous Oregon trail from the Missouri River to valleys in Oregon. Many of them travelled in one of these large-wheeled wagons. This replica stands at the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in front of the impressive backdrop of the Elkhorn Mountains.
